Dr. Stanley Hastings graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979.  After practicing in a mixed practice in Bellefountaine, OH for a year he moved to Arizona and practiced in a small animal group for two years prior to moving to Northern Kentucky.  In 1982 Dr. Hastings purchased an existing veterinary clinic from Dr. Bud Waite.  He renamed it Erlanger Veterinary Hospital where he has practiced since.  He then opened the Union Pet Clinic in July of 1997, where he also practices when he is not at the Erlanger office.  Dr. Hastings' primary interests in practice are surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology and dentistry.  When not at work he most enjoys taking his dog Maddie fishing and traveling to visit his son in Montana.

Dr. Tony Schumann is a graduate from Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 with high honors.  He was born and raised in northern Kentucky where he now resides with his wife, Sara, of 7 years, and his 3 year old son, Samuel.  After graduating, he went straight to work at Erlanger Veterinary Hospital, since he was a technician there prior to veterinary school.  His primary interests are in orthopedics, ultrasonography, and internal medicine.  Most of his little free time is spent with his lovely wife and son, or in the great outdoors.

Dr. Bette Vecchione is a 1994 graduate of the Ohio State University.  She practiced in Chicago for 2 years before moving to the Greater Cincinnati area.  Her special interests include avian and exotic animal medicine.  Dr. Vecchione also enjoys running, hiking, and practicing yoga.  She currently shares her home with her husband, Scott, daughters Zoey and Tatum, 2 cats and parrot.

Dr. Lee Nancarrow received her Bachelors of Art in Biology from Kenyon College and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University.  After graduation, she practiced in Chicago for nine years before returning to her home town of Cincinnati.  Lee joined the teams at the Erlanger Veterinary Hospital and the Union Pet Clinic in 2001.  In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, tennis, and spending time with her pets, Suzie and Tarzan.

Dr. Ashley DeWees

Dr. Ashley DeWees graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University and a Doctorate from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced in the Washington, D.C. area before moving to Florida where she practiced for the last 4 years. She is excited to be in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area and to be the newest member of the Erlanger Vet Hospital team. Dr. DeWees also enjoys running and cooking in her spare time, as well as spending time with husband, Tom, and pets Mulligan, Herbert, and Moxie.
