Avian
If you own an bird, regular examinations are especially important because of the ability of most birds to mask an illness. Husbandry will be discussed during your visit to ensure your exotic pet is housed correctly and fed an appropriate diet.
If you think your bird is sick it is best not to wait to take it to a vet. Some birds don't show any symptoms until they are very ill. Some signs to watch for are ruffled feathers, crusty eyes or beak, and sitting on the bottom of the cage with their eyes closed. Check out the Handbook for a Healthier Bird for more tips!
